Somali Pirates tighten security Gulf of Aden

Somali pirates yesterday seized the Greek merchant ship Irene and its 22 Filipino crewmen despite the recent deaths of their compatriots and the rescue of Captain Richard Phillips of the Maersk Alabama by the US Navy.

Mariners in the Gulf of Aden have been forced to tighten security, but this vessel takes it to the extreme. Those bandits must be really depraved.

What will they think of next? How about a reality TV show about Pirate Hunters, complete with interviews, re-enactments, trials and camera crews embedded on Navy Warships?
