The Brisbane Good Food And Wine Show

The annual Brisbane Good Food And Wine Show began today at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, and will continue until Sunday.
Celebrity chefs, Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, Matt Moran, Tobie Puttock as well as Ben O'Donoghue and Alastair McLeod will be demonstrating their talent. After their shows they will be signing their latest books, which are available at the Angus and Robertson stand.
The menu in the Wild Oats Restaurant will include samples of Alastair McLeod’s peppered beef salad, Gary Mehigan’s Vietnamese chicken coleslaw, Matt Moran’s tempura prawns and Toby Puttock’s caramelised brioche with forest berries.
With over a hundred exhibitors from the Australian Blueberry Growers Association to the Zema Estate winery, there is something for every taste. Queensland's award winning Mammino Gourmet Ice-Cream has a range of unique fruit and liquor flavours, as well as their famous Red Dirt ice-cream
The luxuriant products from The Really Stuffed Olive Co include Caramelised Balsamic and White Vinegars, Sweet Pomegranate Balsamic, Seasoned Black Olives, and Egyptian Dukkah.
Tassal Quick & Healthy Tasmanian Salmon will be running salmon master classes every 15 minutes for small audiences. The Tassal master chefs share samples, and their tips on how to prepare simple salmon dishes.
Take your wine appreciation to the next level with various wine sampling sessions throughout the weekend including the Reidel Masterclass. This popular class is back with a session on Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. Your ticket includes a set of four Vitis glasses valued at $299.95.
General admission costs $20 for adults and $16 for kids,and tickets are available from ticketek.
