You remember how cool Guitar Hero first seemed when it came out? You didn't have to take lessons or memorize any songs. Just play a video game and become a rocker!
Nerds could finally strut confidently up to strange, buxom women in music clubs and proudly declare that they were 'musicians'. My lazy friends could finally do what they always dreamed about - air guitar with noises.
Well, naturally, the video game industry is taking it to the next step with a game called Rock Band.
Now the unbelievable power of video games can transform your entire entourage into a mega-hit rock group!
MTV previewed a video of the game being played to Welcome to the Jungle, which is nerdily good.
Notice how the tail-end coda of the song is a flurry of beats and noise in an attempt to get as many points as possible? Notice how much fun they're having?
