Australia’s Biggest Burger At Australia’s Oldest Hotel

The tiny township of Nindigully is located on the edge of the Australian outback, about 530km west of Brisbane, near the Queensland/New South Wales border. It has become famous for Australia’s biggest burger, the Nindigully Road Train Burger. This giant hamburger is served with French fries, onion rings and a selection of sauces, and costs $36. The meat patty alone is 1.2kg!
Nindigully Pub is Queensland’s oldest pub, located in its original position on the banks of the Moonie River. The licence was issued in 1864 after operating as shearers accommodation for the Nindigully Station.
Nindigully is a busy truck stop and is also popular with bikers, tourists and grey nomads. The highlight of the year is the annual pig races, held on the last weekend in November, which raises money for the Royal Flying Doctors.
The former boom town has now been reduced to just two houses, the pub, the old general store and the town hall, with a permanent population of just nine people.
The worlds biggest burger, from Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub, uses two whopping twelve kilogram beef patties… Only in America!
