Queensland boat builders Riviera have won the award for ‘Power Boat of the Year’ for the second year running at the prestigious Australian Marine Awards, staged by the Australian Marine Industries Federation, last night at the Marriot Resort in Surfers Paradise.
The company, which has been building boats on the Gold Coast for the past 27 years, won the coveted prize for the Riviera 4400 Sport Yacht with an infusion moulded hull and Volvo Penta IPS propulsion.
Riviera has unveiled two further world releases at the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show this week. The luxurious Riviera 61 Enclosed Flybridge features four cabins, three bathrooms and a massive ‘entertainer’ flybridge.
A second world release is the 38 Open Flybridge while the Show sees the Australian debut of the sport utility 48 Offshore Express. “Fascination IV” is an enclosed hardtop version of this new craft, fully equipped for big game fishing.
Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said that the company’s ongoing commitment to innovation and development is paying dividends for the company. “Our new models are well accepted in all markets worldwide.”
