Oskars By The Sea
November 29th 2007 12:55
Oskars was an institution in Coolangatta for many years before moving to their current stunning location on Burleigh Headland in the nineties.
This multi-award winning restaurant situated right on the beach, has a spectacular view of the Surfers Paradise skyline which transforms into a constellation of twinkling lights by night.
The menu featured premium Australian seafood sourced from all over the country. The plump Pacific oysters with salmon caviar had just the right amount of Crème Fraiche on them.
The main courses included prime cuts of beef, rack of Victorian lamb, crispy skinned duck and grilled snapper on horseradish potato.
A raspberry souffle was hard to resist for dessert. As the menu constantly evolves there is a sample menu on their website at www.oskars.com.au
There is a fully licensed bar with a small lounge. Executive Chef Marty Kollrep also regularly performs in ‘Three Chefs’ at the Gold Coast Arts Centre.
Oskars On Burliegh is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and are located at 43 Goodwin Terrace, Burleigh Heads and can be contacted on (07) 5576 6336.
