Restaurants, food shows, awards ceremonies, celebrity chefs and wineries are featured in 'reviews'. Nutritional info and obscure ingredients are in 'food facts'. Man, things have sure changed.

Take a look at the map of Europe in the year 1000.

The first thing that comes to mind is that there looking like there's a big fight going on.

The second is that there must be a lot of kings to rule these kingdoms.

Sadly, the third thing that I thought about is that I'm 'Hungary' for some 'Principality of Chicken Kiev'. That's bad, I know.

Looking back, I guess I'm pretty happy that the Roman Empire fell and shattered like an original vinyl record of Toots and The Maytals falling on its edge. But I wish we still had the Duchy of Bohemia, though there'd be a lot of fighting to put Queen on the currency. Queen, not The Queen.
