Kevin Rudd Apologises To RAAF Crybaby
April 5th 2009 03:50
Prime Minister Kevin Rudd is receiving a barrage of criticism for reducing a stewardess to tears by complaining about meal options on an RAAF flight back in January. Big deal! Virgin Stewardesses have rude customers to deal with on every flight. Everyone in a service role experiences rudeness, but are expected to take it on the chin.
The 23 year old flight attendant burst into tears and reported the incident to senior crew on the Royal Australian Air Force Boeing 737 flight from Papua New Guinea. Group Captain Peter Wood said cabin crew had not even been aware of the special meal request by Mr Rudd, who has been on a non-red meat diet to lose weight.
Air force flight attendants are paid between $47,000 and $68,000 a year and are required to display a high degree of courtesy and discretion and be able to work unsupervised. The RAAF servicewoman is in the Australian Defence Forces for goodness sake!
What if there was a real emergeny. What if the plane was fired on, or boarded, or grounded in a foreign country? What if she lost her cushy posting and was sent to Oruzgan Province to serve our incoing and outgoing troops? She would turn to water, that’s what!
A spokesman for the PM initially denied the incident in January had occurred but a report by the 34 Squadron VIP fleet's commander confirmed it. Mr Rudd has since admitted he made a mistake and apologised for the incident.
End of story, right? Wrong. Stand by for a compensation claim for emotional duress preventing the RAAF Stewardess from woking for the rest of her life. Harden up, girly! The rest of us have no grounds for complaint when we are dealing with rude customers on a daily basis.

Raw Fish
It was really just a beat up of Mr Rudd by the mainstream media. That's why i wanted to present the other side of the coin.
