Four Ingredients Make A Cheap And Easy Dessert

Homemade dessert vanilla slice cheap recipe
This simple recipe, using just four ingredients, makes 14 serves of homemade vanilla slice and costs about seven dollars. The four ingredients are; a packet of Lattice biscuits, a packet of vanilla instant pudding, 600ml of cream and 200ml of milk.

Simply arrange half the biscuits neatly on the bottom of a tray. Combine the milk and cream with the pudding mix and spread it evenly over the base. Then layer the rest of the biscuits on top and press down slightly.

Refrigerate the dish for several hours to allow the biscuits to soften. Then cut squares as required. This dessert is even better the next day and can be prepared well in advance.

These look yum. But I don't think we have lattice biscuits here in Canada! Damn it.

YUMMY!!! Can you get these lattice biscuits in Coles??
Do you think making the milk a chocolate milk for a more chocolate addition would work. I am keen to try this. First time visitor - great site.

Lattice biscuits are available at Coles.
You could use chocolate instant pudding mix to make a chocolate slice. That's a good idea, actually.
