Bluefire Dinner Cruises

October 11th 2007 05:57
A romantic dinner cruise on the Gold Coast’s Broadwater seemed like a good idea at the time, but with stormy weather in the preceding week I was having second thoughts.

On the day of the cruise the dark clouds blew away and by twilight, the wind had dropped and a brilliant full moon emerged from the Pacific Ocean.

After posing for a photo at the luxurious Marina Mirage mooring, we boarded the spacious twin deck cruise boat and were soon underway.

The seven course Churrascuria menu featured flame grilled chicken, beef, lamb, pork and seafood on long metal skewers which were carved at the table until we said, ‘No more!’

Other options included a variety of platters highlighting Queensland’s freshest seafood.

The fully licensed bar offered a wide range of beverages and drinks packages to suit any budget.

As we danced the night away to the music of a talented soloist, the helmsman seemed to swerve sharply to create a rocking sensation, a thrilling reminder that we were afloat on the beautiful Broadwater.

It looks like you had a fun time - did you manage to eat all seven courses?

Many didn't, but I forced myself!
