This site features food of all kinds, not just rawfish. Dozens of recipes with step by step photos are archived in the 'recipes' category. Restaurants, food shows, awards ceremonies, celebrity chefs and wineries are featured in 'reviews'. Nutritional info and obscure ingredients are in 'food facts'. Interesting Gold Coast 'news', 'entertainment' and special events are also included, as well as 'sport' such as ASP surfing, National surf life saving comps, and the Gold Coast Titans. Gold Coast 'wildlife' promotes the green behind the gold. Click my picture to see my profile and credentials or click 'Rawfish' to return to the homepage.

Due dates- a suggestion?

September 1st 2006 01:29
One major part of university life, apart from the socialness, is the actual workload. Even I, the ultimate slacker must get her butt into gear occasionally and produce a piece of work, indicating that I know what my degree is about.

An organised student will start their assignments the week they get them, and have it finished long before the due date. I envy these people, with their self-control, dedication and organization.

Deadline
Opps?

I prefer the lazy method myself. Any work done before the due date is simply research, the actual assignment starts being written 10pm the day before its due, at the earliest. These days it’s not even then. But I almost always get them done on time.

Almost always? I missed my first deadline the other day. Due on Friday, handed in the following Tuesday. No longer the perfect example of how slackness pays off. Still, while I blushed and avoided mentioning to people that I hadn't yet handed the huge write up in, other people made me feel better. It seems people like myself- slackers who think deadlines are merely a suggestion, not set in stone, surround me.

I feel this is a bad realisation, this awareness may cause further delay in the start of assignment writing- will I ever make a deadline again? We'll see if I get today’s assignment done on time shall we?
